IT Support for Logistics & Warehousing in Auckland
Aisle 14, top level of the racking. Your picker scans a carton and gets nothing. They walk to the end of the aisle, wave the scanner around until it finds a signal, then walk back. Thirty orders to go before the 3pm truck. That walk happens dozens of times a shift. It adds up to hours.
Mint is the IT, internet and phones team for Auckland logistics, warehousing and distribution businesses. We build WiFi that reaches all the way to the back of the racking, add backup internet so dispatch keeps moving when the fibre drops, and keep every handheld and login locked down tight.

The hold-ups that cost you a shift
We set it up, watch it 24/7 and pick up the phone when the floor needs help. Your team gets back to moving freight.
Steel racking eats your WiFi
The signal's fine in the office. Out in the aisles, it fades to nothing. Full pallets, steel racking and roller doors all block it, and the deeper you go, the worse it gets.
So scanners drop mid-pick. Stock moves don't save. Your stock count stops matching what's on the shelf.
We walk your floor with a signal tester first. Then we place access points where your people actually work: down the aisles, at the top of the high bays, in the cold store and out on the dock. Scanners hand over from one access point to the next as pickers move, so nobody loses their place.
The fibre drops at the worst possible time
It's 2:40pm. Labels are printing, consignments are booking with the courier and the truck's backing onto the dock. Then the internet goes.
Your WMS can't reach the cloud. Labels stop. The driver waits, then leaves without half the load. Tomorrow morning, your customers start ringing.
We've already covered that. We add backup 4G/5G internet that switches on by itself the moment your fibre fails. Labels keep printing, consignments keep moving, and the truck leaves loaded.
Thirty scanners, one shared login
Handhelds sit in a charging rack and get grabbed at the start of each shift. Often everyone signs in with the same login. Some devices haven't had an update in two years.
When stock goes missing, you can't tell who scanned what. When a temp from the agency finishes up, they still know the password.
We fix that. We manage every scanner, tablet and laptop on your floor. Each person signs in as themselves, so every scan has a name against it. We push updates outside your shift hours. If a device walks out the gate, we lock and wipe it from here.
Peak season, and twelve new starters on Monday
Black Friday. Christmas. End of financial year. Your headcount jumps, and every new person needs a login, a device and access to the right system. Usually by tomorrow.
Tell us who's starting and when. We'll have their sign-ins ready before their first shift. When peak's over and they move on, we switch their access off the same day.
Customer addresses and staff records, kept private
Logistics businesses handle more personal information than most people realise. Delivery names, addresses and phone numbers for thousands of people. Driver licences. Staff bank details. Customer order histories.
The Privacy Act 2020 sets the rules for how New Zealand businesses collect, store and protect personal information. It also means you have to report serious privacy breaches. The legal side stays with you. We're not your lawyer. We just make the tech side easy to get right.
Here's what that looks like in a normal week:
The email from a "customer" changing their delivery address. A scammer gets into a staff inbox, then quietly redirects a high-value load to a different address. We switch on multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your whole team. That's the code your phone asks for when you sign in. Even with a stolen password, nobody gets in without it.
The fake freight invoice with a nasty attachment. One click can lock your WMS exports, job files and payroll behind a ransom demand. We filter dodgy emails before they land. We back up your files and emails, then test that we can actually bring them back.
The office PC sitting on the same network as every scanner. If one device gets infected, it can reach everything else. We split your network so scanners, office computers and visitor WiFi each sit in their own lane. A problem in one can't wander into the others.
More than half of New Zealand small businesses dealt with a cyber threat in the last six months, according to NCSC research. For businesses with 20 to 49 staff, it's three in four. A few basics, done properly, stop most of it.
What we usually find on a first walk-through
A common pattern: the back aisles keep dropping out, and pickers learn to work around it.
When we look, the access points are often mounted in the office ceiling or above the front door. They were installed when the warehouse had half the racking it has now. Nobody's checked them since.
The fix is usually less dramatic than people fear. A signal survey, a few access points in the right places and a tidy-up of the settings. No more notes on the racking.
Support that won't hold up dispatch
When the dock is waiting, every minute counts. Our average response on critical issues is around 15 minutes, and we sort 98.2% of problems on the first contact, so you're not waiting on a callback while freight stacks up.
We monitor your network, internet and devices around the clock. We schedule updates and changes outside your shifts, so we're never rebooting a scanner mid-pick.
Managed IT plans start from $79 + GST per user per month for licensing and security, $139 with remote support, and $189 for fully managed IT with onsite support included. Business fibre starts from $99 + GST per month. There are no lock-in contracts, just one calendar month's notice if you ever want to leave.
The systems behind every pick and pack
We look after the scanners, computers, networks and logins your logistics software runs on, including:
- Your warehouse management system (WMS), the software that tracks where every item sits and what needs picking next, whether it's in the cloud or on a server out the back
- Cin7 and Unleashed for inventory, orders and stock levels
- Xero for invoicing, payroll and supplier payments
- Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Courier portals and label printers that get consignments out the door
When a fault sits inside the software itself, we'll deal with the vendor's support team so you can stay on the floor. Running something we haven't listed? Tell us. We'll learn it and look after it.
Services that keep freight moving
Questions from warehouse and ops managers
Can you fix WiFi dead spots in our back aisles without replacing everything?
Yes, usually. We test the signal across your whole floor first, so we know exactly where it drops. Often a few well-placed access points and better settings solve it.
Will our scanners lose connection as pickers move down an aisle?
No, not with a properly designed network. We set up your access points so scanners pass from one to the next as people move, without dropping the pick they're working on.
Will dispatch keep working if our fibre goes down?
Yes, with our backup internet in place. Your connection switches to 4G/5G on its own, usually within seconds. When your fibre comes back, it switches back without anyone touching a thing.
Do you support Cin7 and Unleashed?
Yes. We look after the devices, logins, WiFi and internet these systems depend on. If the problem sits inside the software, we'll work with their support team to sort it.
Is your helpdesk open during our night shift?
No. Our helpdesk runs 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We monitor your network and internet 24/7, though, and backup internet covers most overnight outages automatically.
Can you set up logins for temporary peak-season staff?
Yes. Send us names and start dates, and we'll have their sign-ins ready before their first shift. We'll switch them off when they finish.
Can you come out to our warehouse?
Yes, anywhere in Auckland. We fix most issues remotely in minutes. When something needs hands, our own team comes out from Birkenhead.
Are we locked into a contract?
No. Every plan runs month-to-month with one calendar month's notice.
What happens in the free IT health check?
We spend 45 minutes looking at your WiFi coverage, internet, scanners, security and backups. You'll get a plain-English rundown of what's holding up and what's likely to stop dispatch next.
